Sayre loves NY!

We went to NY this month to celebrate Great-Grandma's 80th birthday & play with Maddie, Campbell, & Ciaran. Sayre got a taste of some delicious NY pizza, went to Central Park, went to the playground & swam with his cousins, attended two band practices where he received a tenor drum lesson from his cousin Maris and then got his first chanter from Grandpa, jumped on a trampoline for the first time at Kaitlynn & Zach's house, increased his vocabulary with words like "nana"-banana, "bambell"-Campbell, "momo", "grandpa", and learned how to play ring around the rosie! Watch video below to see Ciaran, Momo, & Sayre in action.

Hand Me Down Chucks

One of the great perks of being the younger, smaller cousin- free shoes!

little yogi

We took the red eye home from Seattle so the terminal was pretty much empty at that time of night. Sayre took advantage of the open space and the 30 minute delay to do some pre-flight yoga. It was a smart move as he ended up sleeping most of the way home!

Sayre Goes West

We spent the first week of June out in Seattle & Portland where we got to visit with some of our favorite people. Somehow, from day one we were ALL sick! There were lots of runny noses, coughs & sneezes but that didn't stop us from having a wonderful time. Sayre had so much fun with his cousins, Max & Jack. Max is a funny little ball of energy who said things to us like " you want a piece of me?" & (in reference to setting a good example for the younger boys)-"It is myyyyyyyy spons-a-dil-a-ty!" Jack is covered in blonde curls & sweet smiles and poses all of his babytalk in the form of a question. "Geesh?' "ketooooush?" The Taibl boys provided a lot of entertainment & they instilled in Sayre a love of baseball. He walked around with a bat for most of our trip. When we returned home and I saw him swinging around a box of toothpaste that he pulled from the grocery bag, it was clear that he needed his own baseball bat. He imitates Max's batting stance when you throw him the ball! In these photos, you can also see Sayre posing with his Uncle Tyler and another one of him running away with Tootie's scotch! On this trip, Sayre got to meet his Uncle Anthony, eat at Changs, & received a roller blading lesson from his Uncle T!
