Captain Sayre

Sayre was invited into the cockpit by the Pilots on our recent flight. It made me nervous to be in there, but they let him touch everything, pretend to fly, & wear the hat. He had so much fun. The only problem was that he wanted to get back in there while we were in flight. By then, he became friends with flight attendants and they let him help in the galley.

Jekyll Island

We were able to tag along with Joe on a trip tp Jekyll Island where he had to do some work. He woke each morning at 530 to research the island & take a bazillion photos. Sayre & I slept in & enjoyed hotel life- no chores! We stayed at the beautiful Jekyll Island Club where we rocked in rocking chairs, took a 3 hour bike ride (Sayre's first) around the island, played on the beach, ate way too much shrimp, and learned about the 'suite' life of the Rockefellers & the Carnegies.

Sayre enjoyed many Sunday mornings at Aunt Boo's club with his buddy Gabe this summer. I finally remembered my camera & got some shot of the boys in the water & snackin!

A visit with MoMo

We went to the children's museum with Momo where Sayre played at the water table dressed in a fireman raincoat! Sayre greeted 'Deepo' the GA aquarium mascot from afar. He likes to keep large furry characters at a safe distance! Momo upgraded Sayre to a big boy carseat which he absolutley loves. He is really enjoying facing forward now & talks to us constantly while riding in the car.

BOWLING BALL HEAD!

We took Sayre bowling for the first time during Tyler's visit to Atlanta & it turns out.....his head IS as big as a bowling ball!

Most people get giddy & excited in the days leading up to Christmas but for Joe, it is the 4th of July that is his favorite holiday. He was up at the crack of dawn in his bathing suit packing the car & preparing for the ride down to the Albert cabin in Alabama. This was Sayre's 2nd swarm but the first time that he could really run around & get dirty which makes the trip extra special! There was lots of swimming, tubing, boat rides & tennis, a game of keep away with 4 generations in the pool, a group tie dye project, & a ton of great food!

Here is a shot I took with my phone at Baskin Robbins... Sayre has learned that when you see grandparents, you get ice cream. This is Ciaran feeding Sayre a spoonful of vanilla!

Sayre loves NY!

We went to NY this month to celebrate Great-Grandma's 80th birthday & play with Maddie, Campbell, & Ciaran. Sayre got a taste of some delicious NY pizza, went to Central Park, went to the playground & swam with his cousins, attended two band practices where he received a tenor drum lesson from his cousin Maris and then got his first chanter from Grandpa, jumped on a trampoline for the first time at Kaitlynn & Zach's house, increased his vocabulary with words like "nana"-banana, "bambell"-Campbell, "momo", "grandpa", and learned how to play ring around the rosie!
